Plan Your Event Or Action

We are detransitioners and supporters of detransitioners, who are gathering city by city in a show of solidarity. They've said that detransitioners don't exist. They won't acknowledge detransitioner's unique needs for health care and therapeutic support. Let's demonstrate that we are legion. And that we are not going to go away.

HIT THE STREET (OR YOUR DRIVEWAY)

  • Gather some allies and show your support in a visible public place (landmarks, shopping centers, libraries…)

  • Or just stand on your front lawn with a sign and/or T-shirt (no need to show your face)

     Our goal is 50 cities

ORDER OR MAKE SIGNS/BANNERS

  • Signs can be handmade with supplies from Michael’s or Dollar store, or ordered through copy shops

Sign ideas:

  • Support Detransitioners

  • Take Detransitioners Seriously

  • It's Time to Talk About Detransition

  • Truth is Not Transphobic

  • DO NOT INCLUDE photos of surgical procedures or terms such as "mutilation." Be respectful.

  • Wear your message. Get a t-shirt or hat  designed by detransitioner Laura Becker.

TAKE PHOTO OR VIDEO AND
POST TO
SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Find a good spot to take pictures or video of you with
    your signs or t-shirts.

  • Post on your social media with the following hashtags:

#DetransAwarenessDay
#DetransitionAwarenessDay

#iamdetrans

If you are going BIG, please let Charlie know and we will try to

    get the press there.

HOST A
VIEWING PARTY

Purchase or rent any of these documentaries about the reality of transition and detransition, and host a viewing party. Consider collecting donations and contributing to one of the current lawsuits.

  • Affirmation Generation — Written and directed by a mom with a child caught in the gender web. In need of donations before release in a mere few weeks.

  • The Detransition Diaries — Saving Our Sisters – Featuring three detransitioning stories. Cost to view is a mere $5.99.

  • Dead Name – A film featuring the desperation and despair of the parents of gender-confused children. Cost to buy $9.99.

Our Goals for this important day:

  • Raise public awareness of the growing number of detransitioners (debunk the narrative that detransition is rare).

  • Highlight the harm being done by “affirmative care” from schools,
    therapists and doctors.

  • Create a highly visible event to showcase via the media — upload to our new dedicated YouTube channel.

  • Let the world know that detransitioners are everywhere and we stand with them.
